This is the only book on square-foot gardening that I have read so I cannot compare it to any others.The book introduced me to the advantages of square-foot gardening, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it because it very clearly told me how to proceed. I came away convinced that I now had all the required information to construct and grow a successful square-foot garden. I was especially pleased with the description of recommended soil mixes and am now confident that I can provide my plants with a satisfactory growing medium.
The organic pest control methods to be used for various types of insects also impressed me.
I intend to mix up a batch of the garlic spray detailed in the book so I can use it on all my plants this year if they are attacked by insects.

Little new info except for total novices . Needs more photos and more knowledge Have read many better books over the years
This book gave me a better insight into square foot gardening .The author has put the information in such a way that anyone can do square foot gardening.
I loved the charts they were very helpful I wish the book was longer because I just can not get enough about gardening right now.
